One killed, two injured in violence over land dispute

Barh, Bihar, May 3 (UNI) One person was killed and two women were seriously injured in a shoot-out following an altercation over land dispute at Neura village under Athamalgola police station in Barh sub-division of Patna district today.

Police said Mauli Prasad and Saina Prasad opened fired on a rival group after an altercation over land dispute.

Shashibhusan Prasad, Hiroshama Kumari and Manju Devi sustained serious injuries in the incident.

Later, Shashibhusan Prasad succumbed to his injuries, while the condition of two others was stated to be critical at a local hospital.

Patrolling had been intensified in the area after the incident, police added.
