''Kamban Vizha'' in Pondy begins May 9

Puducherry, May 3 (UNI) The 43rd ''Kamban Vizha'' will be held from May nine.

Puducherry ''Kamban Kazhagam'' President Govindasamy and Secretary Murugesan told newspersons here today Puducherry Lt Governor (In-charge) Bhopinder Singh will inaugurate the three-day festival.

Jharkhand High Court Chief Justice Karppaga Vinayagam will preside. Chief Minister N Rangasamy,his cabinet collegues and Speaker R Radhakrishnan would take part.

Tamil scholars and ''Kamban Kazhagam'' representatives from different parts of the country and abroad would take part in the festival which would witness literary programmes, dance drama and variety programmes, they said.
