Heat-wave conditions in Jalgaon district
Jalgaon, May 3 (UNI) Heat-wave conditions continued to persist in the North Maharashtra district of Jalgaon with the maximum temperature still hovering above the 40 degrees Celsius mark today.
In the district the maximum temperature was 42 degrees, while in Bhusawal town it was 41.2 degrees celsius, official sources said here.
The death toll due to sunstroke still stood static at four, civil hospital sources said.
Though there was an appreciable decrease in the maximum temperature in the last two days, people preferred to stay indoors in the afternoon.
Cold drink and ice-cream shops were crowded during the evenings in the district.
