Fake notes worth Rs 20 lakh seized: one held
Nedumbassery, Kerala, May 3 (UNI) The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) officials today arrested a passenger from Sharjah at the international airport here and seized fake notes worth Rs 20 lakh from him.
The passenger, identified as Sajudeen (28) of Kasaragod, arrived here from Sharjah by a Sri Lankan Airways flight.
Acting on a tip off, the DRI sleuths nabbed the person and seized the fake notes in Rs 500 denomination, which was concealed in his baggage, airport sources said.
