Delhi sizzles at 42.6 degrees C
New Delhi, May 3 (UNI) Delhi continued to sizzle at 42.6 degrees Celsius today, four degrees degrees above normal, with no respite in sight.
The minimum also soared to 27.5 degrees, three degrees above normal, against yesterday's 24.2 degree Celsius.
People preferred to stay indoors as the met department ruled out any respite from the scorching heat over the next 24 hours.
''No significant change in the maximum temperature is likely over Northwest India during the next two-three days,'' the weatherman said.
Yesterday the mercury dropped to 41.1 degrees C from Thursday's 42.6 degrees Celsius.
The Met office has forecast a partly cloudy sky in Delhi during the next 24 hours with the possibility of thundry development in some areas.
