BJP lodges complaint against Moily to CEC
Mangalore, May 3 (UNI) A complaint had been lodged with the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) by the BJP District Chief Monappa Bhandary and BJP Advocates' Forum Convener K Sudhakar Joshi against Central Administrative Reform Commission (ARC) and AICC media Chief M Veerappa Moily for violating election code of conduct.
In a letter addressed to CEC, with copies distributed to press here, they charged that Mr Moily while addressing a workshop conducted by KPCC-I on April 30 had breached the code of conduct by accusing the BJP and RSS of being responsible for destroying Sri Ram temple at Ayodhya and robbing offerings of the temple.
He had also alleged that Sangh Parivar was responsible for the destruction of Babri Masjid and also planned the murder of Babulal Das, who was supposedly a witness to the robbery, they alleged in the letter.
Ruling out allegations levelled by Mr Moily as baseless and false and in violation of election code of conduct, they urged initiation of stern action against Mr Moily. Mr Moily was also trying to incite hatred among Hindus and Muslims and against BJP in the minds of people, they alleged.
