BJP fields Swami in Adampur constituency

Hisar, May 3 (UNI) Swami Raghvanand, BJP candidate for the Adampur assembly byelections in Haryana, filed his nomination papers amid blowing of conch shells here today.

The saffron clad supporters of the Swami came in a procession with him and blew conch shells as the BJP nominee submitted his papers to the Returning Officer here.

Before filing his papers at Mini Secretariat, the Swami addressed a workers' meeting and also set up an election office.

Former Chief Minister Bhajan Lal has already filed his papers from Adampur, his native constituency, as a candidate of the Haryana Janhit Congress (HJC) headed by his ex-MP son Kudeep Bishnoi.
