US backs independent judiciary in Pakistan
Washington, May 3 : The United States looks forward to the final outcome of the move to reinstate Pakistan's top judges, who were dismissed on November 3, 2007.
"The US has long supported an independent judiciary in Pakistan, but we have also said that the issue of the reinstatement of judges is an internal political issue for the parties to decide," the Nation quoted State Department official as saying.
"We are glad to see that the coalition parties are working together, but we leave it to them to determine the final outcome and are look forward to hearing whatever they decide," he added.
