AIADMK boycotts meeting on delimitation

Puducherry, May 3 (UNI) The Puducherry unit of the AIADMK today boycotted a meeting convened by District Collector and District Election Officer Thevaneethi Das pertaining to delimitation of constituencies.

Mr Anbazhagan later told newspersons here that Mr Das had invited two representatives from each of the recognised political parties for the meeting. However, about 20 representatives of the DMK came to attend the meeting and they were allowed.

Protesting against this and alleging that the meeting was not being conducted as per rules, the AIADMK boycotted the meeting, he added.
