5 minors charred in fire incidents in UP
Lucknow, May 3 (UNI) At least five children were charred and six sustained burn injuries in separate fire incidents in Uttar Pradesh in last 24 hrs.
According to police, in Sonbhadra, fire engulfed the house of one Sirajuddin, killing his three children--Sajila Khatun (9), Jamina Khatun (3) and Gula Asik (10).
The incident took place when Sirajuddin and his wife had gone for work. The District administration had announced compensation to the family of the deceased.
In Etawah, fire broke out at Vidhyaram Prajapati' house in Usrahar area, killing his daughters Babli (14) and Anjali (4) and other six received severe burn injuries.
In Mathura, property worth several lakhs was gutted in a raging fire that broke out at Ranchi bazar in Refinery station area. About 50 huts were reduced to ashes.
In a separate incident at Mundaliya village in Nauhjheel area fire ignited around six huts, similarly fire gutted six houses in Khamini village in Gobardhan area.
Few livestock were also charred in the incident, reportedly.
