Two people killed as train hits motorcycle

Bhubaneswar,May 2 (UNI) At least two people were killed when a train hit their motorcycle at an unmanned level crossing between Tapang and Kaipadar under the East Coast Railway today.

Railway sources said the accident occurred when the 8402 Okha-Puri express hit the bike. Both of them died on the spot.

Irate villagers disconnected the hose pipe and detained the train for more than four hours.

However, the villagers allowed the train to run after the senior officials intervened.

At least five long distance trains were detained following the incident.
