Reference rate at Rs 40.65 per USD

Mumbai, May 2 (UNI) Reserve Bank of India today fixed the reference rate for US Dollar at Rs 40.65, up by 19 paise from Wednesday's rate of Rs 40.46 per USD.

The exchange rates for Pound and Japanese Yen against the Rupee were quoted at Rs 80.3549 (79.5039) per Pound and Rs 38.80 (38.99) per 100 unit respectively, a Reserve Bank of India (RBI) spokesperson said.
