Physically challenged can now commute on UPSRTC buses for free
Lucknow, May 2 (UNI) Now, physically challenged would be able to travel on Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) buses free-of-cost.
Giving this information, principal secretary, physically handicapped welfare, B M Meena said, ''A change has been brought in rules, so that differentially abled people can travel on all categories of the roadways buses without any payment.'' The facility would also apply on the UPSRTC buses that go to other states, Mr Meena added.
Even, the handicapped passenger and his assistant will not have to pay passenger tax from now onwards, he informed.
