North Indians celebrate Maharashtra Day
Mumbai, May 1 (UNI) Congress spokesperson Sanjay Nirupam, along with members of the North Indian community, today celebrated the 48th Maharashtra Day at a function here.
Former city police commissioner, M N Singh, who attended the programme, said the north Indians also work very hard.
On the occasion, Mr Nirupam launched an e-newspaper, while film director Mahesh Bhatt participated in the debate on the role of the migrants in the city.
Many north Indians have joined the bandwagon to celebrate the formation of the state after MNS president Raj Thackeray criticised the North Indians for celebrating Uttar Bhartiya Divas and ignoring Maharashtra, which has given them livelihood and a decent living.
