MANUU to implement 27 % quota for OBCs

Hyderabad, May 2 (UNI) Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) would implement 27 per cent reservation for OBC candidates in all its academic programmes from 2008-09.

According to a press release here, Vice-Chancellor A M Pathan said the university would implement the OBC reservation in accordance with the directives given by the Ministry of Human Resource Development and University Grants Commission (UGC) from this year.

The university has decided to enhance by 54 per cent, seats in all disciplines, out of which 27 per cent would be exclusively meant for the OBC candidates.

Admission process for regular courses at MANUU Campus would start from May five, the release added.
