Koutons Retail India net doubles in FY08

New Delhi, May 2: Apparel manufacturer Koutons Retail India Ltd today said its net profit increased hundred per cent at Rs 69.08 crore for the year ended March 31, 2008 as compared to Rs 34.49 crore in the previous fiscal. The leading retail company's net sales for FY08 grew 97 per cent to Rs 793.50 crore from Rs 402.40 crore last fiscal.

''The profit after tax for the year increased by 100 per cent which is a very positive sign for the company and its patrons. The launch of Lesfemme (womens wear) and Koutons Jr (kids wear) will continue to maintain the healthy growth of the company as a whole,'' company Chairman D P S Kohli said in a statement.
