Gangsters arrested with weapons in Samba, J
Jammu, May 2 (UNI) Four criminals were arrested along with arms and sharp-edged weapons in Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir while they were on their way to attack the member of a rival gang, police sources here today said.
''Police intercepted a car at a nakka laid down by the police at 'Tarlokan Di Chappri' in Samba district late last evening and a gang of criminals travelling in it were arrested,'' the sources told UNI.
The criminals have been identified as Mohitesh Sharma alias Munna, Yogesh Sharma alias David, Sourav Gupta alias Shammi and Rajinder Singh alias Shamboo.
''One pistol, khokhri, dagger and two tokas were recovered from their possession while a case has been registered against them under Sections 3/25, 4/15 Arms Act and 149 RPC at Samba police station,'' the police sources added.
All the accused were earlier also involved in several crimes at different places, the police said.
