Efforts on to resolve differences between PPP, PML-Q

Islamabad, May 2 : Mediators are actively and assiduously working to end the deadlock between the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) and the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) over the sacked judges' restoration issue.

According to the Daily Times, the mediators have taken Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain into confidence and briefed him about the negotiations so far .

Sources said that PPP Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari's close aides - Federal Ministers Khursheed Shah, Naveed Qamar and Ahmed Mukhtar were also in contact with Faisal Saleh Hayat, the PML-Q's parliamentary leader in the National Assembly.

"The former ruling party, which had earlier declined to join hands with the PPP, had assured the intermediaries that it could consider co-operating with the PPP if the PML-N withdrew from the ruling coalition," the sources added.
