Cotton bales worth Rs 67 lakh destroyed in fire

Dharwad,Karnataka, May 2 (UNI) More than 2,700 cotton bales worth Rs 67 lakh were destroyed in an a fire here yesterday, police said.

According to police here today, four fire extinguishers were pressed into service to douse the flames. There was no loss of life.

The cotton bales belonged to a private cotton processing society, they added.
