Blasts hurt CRPF personnel in Chhattisgarh
Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh, May 2 (UNI) A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) commandant and three other personnel were severely injured today by three naxal landmine blasts near Narayanpur district's Brabeda village about ten km from here, police said.
Ironically, the personnel were in an anti-landmine vehicle that sustained heavy damage. The vehicle was carrying a total nine people, comprisin a patrol who were returning after inspecting a CRPF camp at Kurusnar on the Narayanpur-Sonpur road.
A crossfire, which followed the explosions, continued till late evening.
An additional police force rushed to the spot. The victims were Commandant P R Sabharwal, Head Constable Babulal Yadav, constables Shivkumar and Chandrapal who were hospitalised at Narayanpur.
