Yeddyurappa terms Cong Manifesto as 'Election gimmic'
Mysore, May 1 (UNI) Former Karnataka Chief Minister and senior BJP leader B S Yeddyurappa termed the Congress manifesto released today for the next month Assembly elections as 'Election gimmick' and nothing new.
Speaking to newsmen at the helipad here, Mr Yeddyurappa alleged that the Congress party, which ruled the country and the state for more then 50 years, had failed to keep up its poll promises during its rule. "People of the state would not yield to such gimmicks during polling", he added.
Mr Yeddyurappa alleged that Congress, Samajawadi Party and Janata Dal (Secular) have come to an understanding to field weak candidates against each other.
