Three Kidney racket accused withdraw bail plea
Ambala, May 1 (UNI) Three alleged accused in the kidney removal scam who had filed bail applications, withdrew their plea when they appeared in the special CBI court here today.
The special CBI Judge Dr Abdul Majid had earlier fixed this day for hearing arguments on the bail applications of the trio, Dr Upender, Gayassudin and Banarsi, facing charges of kidney removal of innocent people in complicity with the scam kingpin Dr Amit Kumar.
The counsel of these persons sought bail on the plea that they were arrested by the CBI on January 30 last at Gurgaon. He stated that the CBI had not filed charge sheet against them within 90 days which should have been done under rules.
However, three other alleged accused Dr K.K. Aggarwal, nurse Linda and Harpal moved fresh bail applications in the CBI court today.
The Judge fixed May 2 for hearing arguments on the bail applications.
