Three from UP arrested, mobile phones seized

Hyderabad, May 1 (UNI) The city police today arrested three people belonging to Uttar Prdesh, who indulged in phone thefts and seized five cellphones worth more than Rs 60,000.

Police said they were identified as Mohd Omer, Sikinder and Shehajad. Their modus operandi was to hit backside windscreen of the car with hands and used to steal the cellphones and other valuable materials from the car.

The trio had been stealing cellphones from cars by diverting attention of the car drivers and owners, police added.
