SkodaIndia sales up 81.4 % in April
New Delhi, May 1 (UNI) Czech car maker's wholly owned subsidiary SkodaIndia today said its sales for April 2008 has increased 81.4 per cent to 1,814 units as compared to 1,000 units sold during the same period a year ago.
The sales figure includes 834 units of country's first super hatch SkodaFabia, a company statement said.
SkodaAuto, a part of the Volkswagen Group, is one of the fastest growing car manufacturers in Europe and has been operating in India since November 2001.
It has set up a manufacturing facility in Aurangabad and has a network of 54 dealerships across the country.
