SAIL's Bhilai plant bags young managerial excellence award

New Delhi, May 1 (UNI) Bhilai Steel Plant has bagged the SAIL's 'Chairman's Trophy for Young Managers' (CTYM) 2007-08 award.

Bokaro Steel Plant's D Roy, J P Sahu and S Shrivastava shared the runner up position with P Chaudhury, Dr A K Panda and A Mahapatra of Rourkela Steel Plant.

A total of 64 teams from various Steel Authority of India (SAIL) plants and units participated in the event based on the theme 'Energising the workforce to unleash their potential.' To encourage managerial excellence among the young managers, competition was introduced by the SAIL in 2004-05, a release said here today.

A distinguished panel of judges assessed the teams in the final round of the competition at Management Training Institute of SAIL in Ranchi.
