Rupesh Shah elected as new GCCI president

Ahmedabad, May 1 (UNI) City-based industrialist Rupesh Shah has been elected as the new president of Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI).

Mr Shah, Managing Director of Sonya Ceramics, was elected unopposed, as Mr K D Shah withdrew his nomination from the contest.

Mr Shah will take charge on June 24.

Meanwhile, Samir Patel of Amos Enterprise has been elected senior vice-president and Biren Parikh of M H Mills as vice president.

The GCCI has 3,500 members, including 250 trade and commerce associations.
