One injured in train accident
Howrah, May 1 (UNI) A man was injured today when a local passenger train collided with a stationary goods train in between the Bagnan and Kulgachia stations near here.
Additional Divisional Railway Manager (ADRM) of the South Eastern Railway's Kharagpur division P S Jha said the accident occurred around 0700 hrs when the Panskura local collided with a stationary goods train.
The driver of the passenger train was injured in the accident and rushed to the Uluberia hospital.
Train services on the route were disrupted for a few hours and railway officials rushed to the spot to take stock of the situation.
However, the cause of the accident could not yet be ascertained, the ADRM said, adding investigation was on.
