Mob of media, star gazers has 'He Man' Dharam beat hasty retreat
New Delhi, May 1 (UNI) A huge mob of mediapersons and 'star struck Delhiites' today left even the otherwise unflappable Bollywood 'he man' Dharmendra beat a hasty retreat from the venue of a function he had come to attend in the capital.
The actor-turned-MP, who was in the capital in his capacity as a brand ambassador of a brand of desi ghee, had to abruptly leave the function when the huge number of star gazers and mediapersons gathered to have a tete-a-tete with yesteryear's star got unruly in their bid to get some sound bytes from the actor.
When things got out of control, the actor, who is also a Lok Sabha MP from Bikaner, had to abruptly leave the venue.
What was, however, worse, Dharmendra had to leave the Le Meridien hotel, where the function was held in an autorickshaw when organisers failed to get the actor a car.
However, while adderessing the gathering just before being mobbed, the actor was his charming self, even relating a couple of couplets about his experience as an actor and giving a word of advise or two to the youngsters about the need to consume pure milk, ghee and butter as key to good health.
