Maximum temperature rises at few places
Hyderabad, May 1 (UNI) The maximum temperature rose at a few places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and changed little over Telangana and Rayalaseema today.
The maximum temperature was above normal at a few places over Telangana and at some places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema, according to the local weather office here.
The highest maximum temperature of 43 degree Celsius was recorded at Nizamabad.
A report from Vijayawada said the residents of the city experienced a hot day today with the mercury shooting up to 43 degree Celsius.
A Met department official told UNI that there would be no change in the temperature tomorrow also.
Yesterday, the temperature was 37.5 degree Celsius.
Hot surface winds swept across the city since morning. The arterial roads wore a deserted look in the afternoon with people staying indoors.
