Headmaster sent to jail in bribery case
Patna, May 01 (UNI) Special vigilance judge of Patna S K Panwar today remanded Akhileshwar Kumar, headmaster of a government school, to judicial custody in connection with a bribery case.
During the day the headmaster-cum-drawing and disbursing officer was produced before the designated judge by the vigilance officials under the charges of Prevention of Corruption Act. The court passed an order to send the accused to judicial custody till May 15.
According to the charges, the headmaster of Daudnagar government middle school in Aurangabad district was arrested by the vigilance sleuths while accepting a bribe of Rs 2,000 from a teacher for the payment of salary amount of his suspension period on April 30.
