Father-son duo killed in accident

Nagpur, May 1 (UNI) A father-son duo was killed after the two-wheeler, on which they were travelling, was knocked down by a speeding truck here.

The two, identified as Sanjay Narayan Paranjpe (46) and Swanand Sanjay Paranjpe (9), died on the spot after they were crushed under the wheels of the truck, late last evening.

Sanjay, an employee of the Treasury Department of Maharashtra Government, was taking his son for a 'Tabla' class when the incident occurred, police said.

The driver of the truck, identified as Amjad Baig Kalandar Baig (30), has been arrested and booked under section 304 (A) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), police added.
