Child actor Darsheel launches children's clothes line

Mumbai, May 1 (UNI) 'Taare Zameen Par' fame child actor Darsheel Safary today launched the children's clothesline, 'On Your Own' (OYO), brought out by Spykar, a fashion lable, in suburban Bandra here.

''The products I associate myself with are the ones I like. I only get my dad's permission,'' said the child actor, who walked the ramp for fashion designer Neeta Lulla at the recently held Lakme Fashion Week.

He said his definition of the cool look was white shirt and shorts and believed that kids should enjoy their childhood without neglecting books.

The OYO brand has a collection of trendy cotton T-shirts, denims and casualwear for 4-14 year olds that will be available at 30 exclusive outlets in 12-15 cities, departmental stores and shopping malls.

The company has invested Rs 15 crore for its first phase of launch to compete with other brands in the segment and is negotiating a deal for a dedicated line for the brand.
