Centre apprised on wheat purchase: MP CM

Jabalpur, May 1 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today said the Centre had been apprised that the state government was acquiring a large quantity of wheat, at support price plus Rs 100 bonus per quintal, and the same would be distributed among the poor.

''About ten lakh metric tonnes have been purchased,'' he said while addressing a programme here.

Alleging that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress President Sonia Gandhi were directly responsible for galloping inflation, Mr Chouhan highlighted welfare schemes of this state's Bharatiya Janata Party government.
