Tourists throng Manali to evade summer heat
Manali, Apr 30 : The influx of the tourists has sharply increased in the hill town of Manali in Himachal Pradesh as the plains reel under intense summer heat.
Over the years the hill resort has been witnessing increased tourist inflow as summers get intense in the plains and tourists look for cool and sublime surroundings of Manali.
The flow of high-budget foreign tourists has also witnessed a surge here due to the ideal weather and friendly environment.
"I have been here for two months. The climate here is good even in summers. I like this place very much," said Alyse, an Australian tourist.
Apart from the foreign tourists, Indians too wanting to escape scorching summer heat prefer to spend some time in Manali.
"It is very beautiful. I am coming here after 20 years. It is lovely place," added G.R.Swami, tourist from Mumbai.
With almost three-fold increase in the flow of tourists, the number of hotels in Manali has increased to about 1,000 to meet the increasing demand.
Apart from hotels scores of guesthouses and resorts have come up not only in the town, but also in its suburbs to cater to the needs of the growing number of tourists.
