Stern action against rebels: Poojary
Mangalore, Apr 30 (UNI) Senior Congress leader and Rajya Sabha member B Janardhan Poojary today warned of stern action by the party against those who contest against official candidates in the next month elections to the Karnataka Legislative Assembly.
Addressing a press conference here, he urged those who have field their nominations to withdraw the same and work for the success of the official candidates.
Mr Poojary said that the party would keep a close watch on the work of the leaders and workers during election and if anyone found not working sincerely they would attract disciplinary action against them.
He said that the party would identify those rebellions in the party and suitable action would be taken against them if they fail to stop all rebel activities and work for the official candidates.
And if they fail to withdraw their nominations before the last date of the withdrawal of nominations, the party would take severe action such as expelling from the party for six year, he warned.
