Report on office of profit by monsoon session end: LS

New Delhi, Apr 30 (UNI) The Lok Sabha today extended upto the last day of the monsoon session of Parliament the time for presentation of the report of the Joint Committee set up to examine the constitutional and legal position relating to the office of profit.

The committee had been constituted in the wake of the disqualification of Ms Jaya Bachchan (SP) as a Rajya Sabha member for holding the post of the UP Film Development Corporation and similar action against several others, including Congress President Sonia Gandhi for being the chairperson of the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation.
