Priyanka meeting Nalini won't affect legal case: Cong
New Delhi, Apr 30 (UNI) The Congress today said last month's meeting between Rajiv Gandhi's daughter Priyanka Vadra and her father's murder convict Nalini would not have any legal bearing on the case.
''I don't think there is any connection between the meeting and Nalini moving Madras High Court, seeking early release from prison,'' Congress spokesman Shakeel Ahmed told reporters.
''The meeting does not affect anything legally,'' he added.
The filing of petition by Nalini comes a month after Ms Priyanka met her at the Vellore prison in a secret mission.
Nalini had been lodged in the prison for the last 17 years.
