NDA calls for Bharat bandh on May 2

New Delhi, Apr 30: NDA has called for an extensive Bharat Bandh on May 2 for the in-economical way of handling price rise by UPA govt. BJP has decided to get into an agitation mode this election year by launching multi-pronged protest over the rising prices of essential commodities.

“Prices of essential commodities have never shot up to such a high in such a short span of time before. Whenever the Congress has come to power, prices have increased," BJP chief Rajnath Singh said here after the meeting. “Prices of essential commodities have increased by 130 pc to 260 pc in such a short span of time. All the steps taken by the government to rein in inflation have proved ineffective," party spokesperson Javadekar said.
