MP being discriminated against by Centre: BJP
New Delhi, Apr 30 (UNI) The BJP today strongly objected to the Centre's ''discriminatory attitude'' towards Madhya Pradesh, saying state Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan was sitting on a 24-hour dharna in protest.
Raising the matter during the Zero Hour in the Rajya Sabha, senior BJP leader Sushma Swaraj said the state government was being discriminated against in the allocation of foodgrains, power, coal and housing allocation.
While, the state had 60 lakh people living below the poverty line, quota was being given only for 41 lakh.
In addition, against a requirement of 350 MW power, the state was being given only 48 MW, she said.
