Medico commits suicide in AP

Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, Apr 30 (UNI) Fear of failure in examinations drove a third year medical student of Rangaraya Medical College here to allegedly commit suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling fan in her hostel room early today.

In a suicide note to her parents who live in Visakhapatnam, 23-year-old Srujana said fear of failure in the examinations, now underway, prompted her to take the extreme step. She committed suicide when her roommate went to bathroom.

Sub Divisional Police Officer S Suryarao held a preliminary inquiry. The town police has registered the case and sent the body for port-mortem.
