Maya's another letter to PM for more category in SC list

Lucknow, Apr 30 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati today shot off a letter to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh requesting him to include 'Loniya', 'Nonia' and 'Loniya-Chauhan' into the Scheduled Caste category.

Ms Mayawati said in the letter that reservation should be given to these three castes as their economic and social condition had not improved even after 60 years of independence.

The PM should make necessary amendments in constitution, if required to include the castes into the SC category, she added.

She had requested the PM to take decision regarding the same as soon as possible.

Earlier also, the UP CM had written to the PM to include 12 other castes into SC category.
