Man booked for misleading govt functionaries

Chandigarh, Apr 30 (UNI) The alert staff of Haryana Chief Registrar (Births and Deaths) has found a person guilty of providing false information to get birth of his daughter registered.

Stating this here today, Haryana Chief Registrar (Births and Deaths) Avinash Sharma said instructions had been issued to initiate police action against the accused for submitting a false affidavit to mislead the government functionaries for registration of birth of his daughter.

She said instructions had also been issued to initiate police action against the witness who has cooperated with the applicant.
