Lok Sabha pays obituary references to two former members
New Delhi, Apr 30 (UNI) The Lok Sabha today paid obituary references to two of its former members who had passed away recently.
As soon as the House assembled for the day, Speaker Somnath Chatterjee read the obituary references of Prof Sudhir Kumar Giri of the CPI(M) and Anantrao Patil of the Congress.
The House also observed a one-minute silence in memory of the departed leaders.
While Giri was a member of the 12th Lok Sabha, Patil was an elected member of the fifth Lok Sabha.
