Judge awards life imprisonment to accused in murder case

Puducherry, Apr 30(UNI) Puducherry Principal District and Sessions Judge D Krishna Raja today convicted and sentenced a 39-year-old man to life imprisonment in a murder case here in 2004.

According to prosecution, Irusappan of Nainarmandapam here entered into the house of Ramachandran, Manager of a private bus company at Ariyankuppam when his wife Radhabai was alone in the house, murdered her and took away her ornaments worth Rs One lakh, on September 28, 2004.

The Judge also awarded another five-year imprisonment for stealing her ornaments and a penalty of Rs 1500 and another six months in case of failure to pay the fine.
