Jawan falls in river, dies in Doda in J

Jammu, Apr 30 (UNI) An Army jawan died today after falling into river Kalina in Kither area of Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources here said.

Sources said the Army jawan, identified as sepoy Jeevan Chand of 26 Rashtriya Rifles, was the last man of a patrol party who accidentally fell into the river.

''The party was heading for an operation while the body of the jawan was fished out as he succumbed to head injury,'' official sources told UNI.
