HC dismisses Kushboo's plea
Chennai, Apr 30 (UNI) Madras High Court today dismissed a writ petition filed by actor Kushboo, seeking to quash all the cases filed against her in various courts in the state, for her alleged denigrating remarks against women.
While disposing the petition filed by Kushboo, Mr Justice R Regupathy ordered to transfer as many as 26 cases pending before various lower courts to the Chief Metropolitian Magistrate Court (CMM) Egmore, and directed the CMM to expedite trial within six months.
It may be recalled that cases were filed against Kushboo in various courts across the state, seeking action for her remarks that there was nothing wrong in women having pre-marital sex as long as they avoided pregnancy and did not contract any venereal disease.
