Govt announces ex-gratia
Hyderabad, Apr 30 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh Government today announced an ex-gratia of Rs two lakh for the families of two persons who died while appearing for the police constables recruitment test.
Terming the incident as unfortunate, Andhra Pradesh Home Minister K Jana Reddy said the ex-gratia amount would be disbursed to the families of the deceased immediately.
The Home Minister also gave an assurance to conduct physical endurance tests for candidates' recruitment before 0830 hrs to avoid summer heat.
Ch Sravan Kumar died while participating in a running race being conducted for applicants of police constable jobs at Kotturu Tadepalli near Vijayawada in Krishna District yesterday.
On Monday, an aspirant died during a running race at the Mamnoor Airstrip near Waragal after running for about three kms.
