Former TDP corporator joins Congress

Hyderabad, Apr 30 (UNI) Former TDP Corporator P Sudarsan, along with his supporters, today joined the Congress in the presence of Andhra Pradesh Backward Classes Welfare Minister M Mukesh Goud.

Talking to newspersons here, Greater Hyderabad Congress Committee President D Nagender said Mr Sudarsan, along with his 300 supporters, had come to the Committee office and joined the party ''impressed by the welfare and developmental schemes initiated by Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy.'' Mr Goud, who was also present, claimed that the Congress' hold on Musheerabad constituency was strengthened with Mr Sudarsan, who belonged to the same constituency, joining the party.

The Congress would field T Manemma in Musheerabad for the byelections to be held on May 29.
