CPI seeks early disposal of Muslim reservation case

Hyderabad, Apr 30 (UNI) The CPI today appealed the Andhra Pradesh High Court to empower the vacation court to hear the case relating to four per cent reservation for backward sections of Muslims and ensure early disposal of the case.

CPI State Secretary K Narayana told newspersons here that students would lose one year, following the Court's direction to the State Government to implement the Supreme Court stay in the case.

The State Government should strive for expediting the hearing in the case so that students of the minority community do not lose a precious year, he said.

He also appealed to the Government to extend the deadline till June 30 for the scheme for penalisation of unauthorised buildings as mostly the poor and middle class people were affected by the deviations committed by builders allegedly in collusion with officials.
