Sambalpur, Apr 30 (UNI) Functioning of the courts was totally paralysed for the third day today as agitating lawyers demanding a permanent bench of Orissa High Court in Western Orissa abstained from attending the courts.
Some of the advocates threw stones and tried to force their entry into the court premises but were prevented by police.
As many as 200 lawyers were taken to custody but released later on PR bond, police said.
Prominent among those, who were arrested, were Ms Sanjukta Mohanty, Ms Sanjukta Hota, Ms Bandiata Mishra, Mr Pramod Dash, Mr Pradip Bahidar, Mr Rabi Patnaik and Mr Satyanarayan Panda.
